On September, 30th, 2008 in the St.-Petersburg State Marine Technical University with support of IBM corporation and its business of partners - companies "Marvel" and ITC "Mebius" there has passed official ceremony of opening of Shipbuilding Competence Center IBM and presentation of the special program "to Modern shipbuilding - modern information technologies". At opening ceremony of the Shipbuilding Competence Center opening statement spoke Rector SMTU professor Borisenko K.P. in which he has noticed, that opening of the IBM Shipbuilding Competence Center is a new stage of long-term cooperation of University with IBM corporation and the important element of special IBM initiative - program "to Modern shipbuilding - modern information technologies". Welcoming speech spoke Sergey Jaskevich (IBM deputy director in Russia) and the Head of office IBM East Europa and Asia in Northwest region Vladimir Bykov. Joint program of IBM and SMTU for shipbuilding industry have presented by doctor Alexey Lipis (ITC "Mebius" general director) and Pavel Duderov (IBM East Europa and Asia). From company “Marvel” side welcoming speech spoke IBM products manager Dmitry Smirnov. From Russian shipbuilding industry side on the ceremony were representatives of the largest deign bureaus and shipyards. |
